Method
- Chop up some fresh herbs I usually use coriander, but you could use sage, thyme, chillies, rosemary and also chorizo which is yummy.
- Open the baked beans empty into the saucepan and heat it up, you can alter the intensity of the flavours of the herbs/spices in this dish depending on when you add them. So if you add them throughout the cooking time it will have a stronger flavour then if you add it at the end (This is a good tip if you are using chillies adding them at the beginning may make the dish hotter then adding them at the end).
- Once the dish is hot then stir in the spinach so they will wilt slightly with the heat of the beans then just serve on toast. Yummy and quick.
Variations & Tips
Chorizo, Pepperami, leftover cooked meats, kale, cheese, garlic, ginger, grate some courgette or carrots, a fried egg either in the dish or fried on top. Let me know your ideas, lets pimp up our beans together.
